CNS Group is a specialist in Information Assurance and IT Security, providing clients with expert guidance to build, manage, and improve their IT systems with confidence. They aimed to save clients time, worry, and expense.
The project was a true digital transformation, designed to consolidate three separate brands into a single, cohesive website and service offering. A key focus was improving user journeys and making it easier for potential customers to get in touch.
CNS Group's old website was overloaded with years of content and detailed services, leading to high bounce rates and poor conversion rates. The goal was a complete digital overhaul of content, SEO, and clear conversion paths to boost engagement and conversions.
Merge, design & release
Spinbox devised a digital transformation strategy with incremental improvements over a 12-month period, rather than a single, time-consuming redesign and launch.
First, Spinbox conducted a full SEO audit to investigate the website structure and identify weaknesses. Based on this, we provided detailed recommendations to optimise pages and improve CNS Group’s search engine rankings (SERPs).
Next, we consolidated the three brand sites into one main website. Content structuring and navigation design were critical elements. We worked closely with CNS to categorise existing services and sector-specific content. Improved content hierarchies and usability were key objectives, ensuring existing SEO rankings remained intact.
In the second project phase, we focused on the site content. We moved pages to new responsive design templates, reworked copy and images, and published new content, upgrading design elements as we progressed through 300+ pages.
To drive traffic and increase business inquiries, Spinbox launched an AdWords campaign. We tested design concepts through A/B split testing and re-indexed the site's new structure.
The results
Midway through the project, SEO rankings had already improved, and conversions were being recorded, showing positive early results.
The redesigned website now effectively showcased CNS Group's brand strengths and improved service structure, significantly enhancing site usability. The clean, precise, and professional design on Sitefinity CMS allowed CNS to move from strength to strength.
The Spinbox-managed AdWords campaign delivered outstanding results, with all three primary conversion goals achieved within the first two weeks.
From just one online inquiry per month, CNS saw an increase in inquiry conversions by over 1500%. This impressive improvement contributed to doubling the company’s revenue and successfully completing a buyout in 2018.
