Leveraging Best Western’s extensive pricing database, we developed a robust system to access calendar availability and determine the cheapest room for any hotel across various rates and date ranges. This data is securely stored in an Azure Table and synced with Best Western’s Sitefinity database for consistent updates.
To ensure real-time accuracy and seamless data synchronization, we implemented a dual trigger system:
Immediate and Ad-Hoc Updates: An integrated HTTP mechanism allows on-demand data scrapes for instant updates.
Scheduled Updates: A timer trigger automates weekly synchronizations, ensuring that the latest pricing information is always available.
The Price Finder tool features a clean, user-friendly interface that invites users to browse prices effortlessly week by week. Users can scroll through Best Western’s extensive list of venues or narrow their search by hotel, place, postcode, or attraction, providing a seamless browsing experience.
Results are displayed in a clear, organised list, allowing users to click through directly to hotel pages or view live rates for accommodations. This seamless integration into the BestWestern.co.uk website offers a hassle-free booking experience. Users can easily select their preferred hotel, review booking details, and securely complete their reservations directly through the website, all backed by Best Western's trusted booking platform.
